Gerardo Farías
Mr. Farías obtained his Law degree and Public Accounting degree from ITAM, graduating cum laude in both. He holds an advanced Master’s degree in International Tax Law from the University of Amsterdam and the International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation (IBFD), where he was awarded the "Amsterdam Centre for Tax Law Award" for achieving the highest GPA in his class. He is an active member of AMEXCAP, the International Tax Development Commission of the CCPM, and the National Fintech Commission of the IMCP.
Mr. Farías has over 14 years of professional experience, with an outstanding career in firms such as Creel, García-Cuellar, Aiza y Enríquez (Creel); MMYO; and Chévez Ruiz Zamarripa (CRZ). He also worked at Loyens & Loeff N.V. in Amsterdam.
Mr. Farías is the author of several publications in national and international publishing houses. He is the co-author of the book "Fibras Inmobiliarias" by Thomson Reuters and the author of “Reglas de Divulgación Obligatoria en México…” by Tirant lo Blanch.
He has advised on several projects related to structuring private equity funds in Europe, the USA, and Mexico. His professional experience includes participating in capital markets processes, from structuring projects to instrument placements, including CKDs, investment project trust certificates (CERPIs), CPIs, Fibras, and Fibras-E. Additionally, he has provided advice to several companies in the blockchain and crowdfunding industries, as well as on asset tokenization processes.
