Gerardo holds a bachelor’s degree in Law and Public Accounting from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) with honors.

He also holds an Advanced Master´s in International Tax Law from the University of Amsterdam in cooperation with the International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation (IBFD) with cum laude distinction, where he also obtained the highest GPA of his class.

Gerardo’s professional background includes his outstanding trajectory in firms such as Creel, García-Cuéllar, Aiza y Enríquez, S.C., MMyO and Chevez Ruiz Zamarripa y Cía., S.C.

He also worked at the international law firm Loyens & Loeff N.V. in Amsterdam.

Currently, he acts as Of-Counsel of VCG Partners.

Gerardo has collaborated in various private equity projects in Europe, the United States and Mexico.

His professional experience includes advising on capital markets processes from the structuring of the project to the placement of the securities, such as capital development investment trusts (CKDs), real estate investment trusts (FIBRAs) and energy and infrastructure investment trusts (FIBRAs-E).

Gerardo is author and co-author of several legal and tax articles in the magazines International Tax Review, Puntos Finos, among others; and is co-author of the book "Fibras inmobiliarias" published by Thomson Reuters.

Gerardo is fluent in both Spanish and English.
